Prospective investigations

Questions worth developing.

Develop research questions about loneliness, boredom, emotional experience, social connection and prevention, with clear distinctions between everyday experience and clinical assessment.

  • How do people describe the relationship between social context, interpretation and emotional experience?
  • Which environmental or technological barriers make meaningful connection harder?
  • How can research distinguish perceived support, sustained engagement and measured well-being?

Methods & scope

From a question to an appropriate method.

Prospective methods include evidence synthesis, qualitative inquiry and participatory design with appropriate disciplinary partners. Any intervention or clinical claim would require relevant expertise, ethical oversight and an evaluation suited to the claim.

Research focus

The focus is research on emotional experience, supportive environments and social connection, with clinical questions developed in collaboration with relevant specialists.
